Casting Calls Galore!

Time, again, is against us.

For the longest time, we have neither heard any positive news on transmale actors from our client, nor have we heard anything back from the only transmale actor that responded to us reaching out. Since time is evermore pressing and it didn't seem like we could get a transmale actor to act in our piece, I previously decided to have our client asked whether she would still be happy to use a cisfemale actress for both the roles of Chris and Christina to get the issues sorted.

And what shall I say? We just received green light from her to do so.

With this decision being made and a lot of issues taken away at once, I was finally - finally - able to prepare and place casting calls for 'Four Bridges Casting Calls' and 'North East Theatre Practitioners UK'. I furthermore applied for one more casting call group to spread the news about our production, but am still awaiting admission to the group.

For the longest time, I haven't been able to place proper casting calls that contained all the relevant information like number and age of actors, filming area and, at least, a rough time frame. With the decision on the cisfemale actress made and most of the locations secured now, I could now tick that essential call off my list.

In addition to that small victory against time, our crew prepared the paperwork for me to take out the equipment tomorrow for a test shoot of two locations, namely near the Hartlepool Marina and a bar named The Causeway. I decided upon taking out an AVC kit, the slider with baby legs and a monopod to be able to experiment with the equipment (especially the slider) but at the same time being flexible and mobile, since I will be carrying around the equipment through Hartlepool.

I'm curious to see how the test footage will turn out tomorrow!
